ACETONE

Acetone is a solvent generally used for the clean up of uncured polyester resins and gelcoats and, due to it's rapid evaporation characteristics, is ideal as a cleaning agent on freshly sanded surfaces. Drum pricing available on request.

XYLENE

Xylene is a strong solvent used for the clean up of uncured epoxy resins, the clean up of oil and grease, the reduction of most enamel-based paints and the removal of old paper masking from acrylic sheet, to name a few.

METHYL ETHYL KETONE

Methyl Ethyl Ketone, or M.E.K., is similar to acetone, but stronger. It can be used for wiping down freshly sanded surfaces, but does not evaporate as quickly as acetone. It is also used to reduce ketone-based paints.

METHYLENE CHLORIDE

Methylene Chloride is a solvent used as an adhesive for acrylic sheeting as it actually melts the material together. Methylene Chloride will also break down cured epoxy with constant exposure.

STYRENE

Styrene is a monomer used in polyester resin and gelcoat manufacturing, and is used to reduce these products.
