Smooth Cast 300 Series

The Smooth-Cast® 300 Series of liquid plastics are ultra-low viscosity casting resins that yield castings that are bright
white and virtually bubble free. Vacuum degassing is not necessary. They offer the convenience of a one to one mix
ratio (one part A to one part B by volume). The differences between them are pot life and demold time.

Smooth Cast 320 Series

The Smooth Cast® 320 Series consists of new ultra-low viscosity casting resins that yield virtually bubble-free castings. SC 320 Series resins yield castings that are off-white, and are sister products to our popular SC 300 Series of Bright White Plastics.
SC 320 Series resins are easier to color tint using SO-Strong® color tints.

Smooth-Cast® 325, 326 & 327 ColorMatch®

Smooth-Cast® 325, 326 & 327 ColorMatch® are new fast-cast resins that were developed specifically for adding color pigments and fillers to achieve true color representation or filler effect. The ColorMatch® Series is formulated “color neutral”. Small amounts of pigment will yield accurate, vivid colors from cured castings (use of Smooth-On pigments is highly recommended). The ColorMatch® Series offers the convenience of a 1A: 1B mix ratio by volume and has a very low viscosity. Demold times range from about 10 minutes to 2-4 hours (depending on product, mass and mold configuration). SC 325, 326 & 327. Note; Large mass castings will get very hot and shrink more, depending on mold configuration.

Smooth-Cast® 380
High Density Urethane Tooling Resin

Smooth-Cast® 380 is a filled, high density casting resin formulated for a variety of tooling applications. This no-odor resin features a convenient 1A:1B mix ratio by volume, a 6 minute pot-life and cure time of about 60 minutes depending on mass and temperature. Low viscosity ensures minimal bubble entrapment and long term shrinkage of cured resin is very low. Cured material is very strong can be machined, drilled, sanded, etc. Color can be added with SO-Strong® color tints.

Smooth-Cast® 385
Mineral Filled Urethane Casting Resin

Smooth-Cast® 385 is a mineral filled urethane casting resin that is very hard and durable. When Parts A and B are mixed in proper proportion (1A:5B by weight), Smooth-Cast® 385 cures at room temperature with virtually no shrinkage. This rigid urethane casting resin has high compressive and flexural strength. Fully cured castings are tough, machinable and paintable.
Color effects are possible by adding pigment dispersions. They resist moisture and mild solvents. Smooth-Cast® 385 is ideal for making industrial production parts, foundry patterns, vacuum forming molds, and some ceramic applications.

Smooth-Cast® Semi-Rigids

The Smooth-Cast™ line of low-cost semi–rigid urethane casting resins cure quickly to semi-rigid plastics that offer excellent
impact resistance. These plastics are easy-to-use (mix ratio is 1A:1B by volume) and have low viscosities for minimal bubble
entrapment. Vibrant colors are possible by adding SO-Strong® color tints.

45D	60D & 61D

Shell Shock™

Shell Shock™ FAST and Shell Shock™ SLOW are thixotropic plastics that self thicken when mixed and can be brushed
onto a variety of surfaces or into rubber molds. When Parts A and B are mixed in proper proportion (1A:4B by volume or
1A:5B by weight), material cures at room temperature with virtually no shrinkage to a hard, durable plastic that exhibits
good compressive and flexural strength. Fully cured castings are rigid and can be sanded, primed and painted. Color
effects are possible by adding SO-Strong Color Tints.

Smooth-Cast® 65D ( ROTO® )

Smooth-Cast 65D is a low viscosity liquid plastic that gradually builds thixotropy (becomes thicker), making it ideal
for rotational casting applications. Castings will be hollow and lightweight but have the appearance of being solid,
allowing you to use less material to attain the same finished look (substantially lowering your material costs). ROTO® can
also be cast solid for a variety of industrial and art-related applications.

Smooth-Cast® ONYX®

Smooth-Cast ONYX® is a mercury-free urethane resin that cures quickly at room temperature to a deep black, solid plastic. ONYX® offers the convenience of a 1A:1B by volume mix ratio and has a very low viscosity, so it is easy to mix and pour. ONYX® has an ultimate shore hardness of 80D and offers higher physical properties and higher heat resistance vs. other general purpose resins.

Applications include reproducing sculpture, making prototypes and potting / encapsulation. Because ONYX® is a fast curing resin and becomes hard quickly, it is also great for doing fast cold cast bronze, brass, copper, nickel/silver, etc.

Crystal Clear® Series
Rigid Urethane Casting Compounds

Crystal Clear® 200, 202, 204 and 206 are water white clear and made specifically for applications that require clarity. These rigid
urethane casting resins differ only in working and demold times. Low viscosity ensures easy mixing and pouring. Crystal Clear®
resins cure at room temperature* with negligible shrinkage. Cured castings are UV Resistant and are not brittle. Vibrant colors and
color effects are achieved by adding pigment dispersions. Applications include encapsulation, making prototype models, lenses, sculpture reproductions, decorative cast pieces, jewelry, prototype models, special effects and props.

SMASH!® Plastic®
“Breakaway Glass” Plastic

SMASH!® Plastic® is a new urethane liquid plastic designed to shatter/crumble on impact (“breakaway glass”).
SMASH!® is water clear and, once fully cured, shatters like glass. It can be cast solid in thin sections to make window panes or rotationally cast to form hollow bottles, jars or other glass-like objects to be used as breakable props for movie and stage productions. Maximum recommended thickness is 1/8” (0.33 cm.).

TASK® Series Plastics
Performance Urethane Casting Resins

TASK® Plastics is a new generation of performance urethane casting resins that offer superior physical properties compared to our popular Smooth-Cast line of general purpose casting resins.

TASK® Plastics feature convenient mix ratios by volume (pbv) or weight (pbw), low viscosities, high tensile and flexural strength, as well as high flexural modulus. These plastics were formulated for a variety of industrial applications including pattern making, making prototype models and making high impact solid or rotational castings (TASK® 15). These resins are designed for casting in thicknesses up to ½” (1.27 cm).

Plasti-Paste®
Trowelable Plastic Paste

Plasti-Paste® is a two component fiber resin that is designed for vertical surface application. Part A is a liquid and Part B is a paste. Mix ratio is 1A : 3B by volume (41A:100B by weight). It has no odor and pot life is 8 – 10 minutes depending on mass. Demold time (can be handled) is about 90 minutes depending on mass.
Plasti-Paste® holds a vertical surface without sagging and cures to a strong, durable and lightweight plastic. Suitable as a mother mold / support shell (reinforces shape of rubber mold during casting), or as a laminating material. Can be pigmented with So-Strong® color tints from Smooth-On. Add cabosil or other filler as an extender or for special effects.

Feather Lite®
Lightweight Urethane Casting Resin

Feather Lite® is a heavily filled low-density urethane casting resin. Cured plastic is lightweight (it floats in water!) and has a much
lower density than other casting resins. Feather Lite® features a convenient 1A:1B by volume mix ratio and mixes easily (pre-mixing of parts A & B is necessary). Cured plastic is strong and can be carved, machined, drilled, sanded, etc. Feather Lite® can be pigmented with SO-Strong® color tints prior to casting and finished castings can be painted. And because this product is low-density, it yields more plastic per pound/kg. than other casting resins, the cost per casting is low. Feather Lite® can be used for a variety of art or industrial design related applications including reproducing sculpture, making fishing lures, prototype model making, casting doll heads and figures, etc.
